🌟 Our Programs & Community Impact
Juneteenth Youth Leadership & Empowerment Council (JYLEC)
An 8-week virtual leadership program designed to equip youth with essential life and leadership skills. Through guided discussions, mentorship, and practical application of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, participants build confidence, character, and a vision for their future while learning the value of service and community.
Living Museum (Wax Museum Experience)
A powerful, interactive educational experience where youth research, embody, and present influential Black historical figures. This program builds public speaking skills, historical awareness, and pride in cultural identity while bringing history to life for the community.
Children’s Literacy Initiative – “Read to Them”
A community-centered literacy program that promotes the love of reading among children. Through storytelling sessions, partnerships with local organizations, and engaging reading activities, we work to strengthen literacy skills and close educational gaps.
Community Resource & Wellness Initiatives
Through health fairs, resource distributions, and outreach events, we connect families to essential services including healthcare, employment opportunities, and support programs. Our goal is to ensure every family has access to the tools needed to thrive.
Hygiene & Essential Needs Program
In partnership with local schools and community organizations, we provide hygiene products and essential items to students (Mckinney - Vento) and families in need. This initiative supports dignity, confidence, and overall well-being, especially for underserved populations.
Community Pool Fund (Emergency Assistance Program)
A structured assistance program that provides financial support for urgent needs such as housing and utilities. Funds are paid directly to service providers, and recipients are connected to additional resources and support systems to promote long-term stability.
Scholarship & Youth Investment Programs
We invest in the future by awarding scholarships to graduating seniors and aspiring young leaders. Programs like the Irene “Mudear” Thomas Scholarship and Business-to-SPARK Scholarship support education, entrepreneurship, and personal growth.
Juneteenth Freedom Festival & Year-Round Engagement
More than just a festival, our annual Juneteenth celebration serves as a hub for education, culture, and community connection. Throughout the year, we host events, workshops, and outreach initiatives that continue the mission of empowerment and unity.
Hoodie Awards & Community Honors
Inspired by the spirit of celebrating everyday greatness, this program recognizes individuals and organizations making a meaningful impact in the community. It uplifts unsung heroes and highlights excellence across multiple sectors.
