Community Pool Fund
The Community Pool Fund is a collective giving initiative designed to support individuals and families in our community who are facing temporary financial hardships. Through the power of shared contributions, we are able to meet urgent needs while promoting long-term stability and empowerment.
How It Works
Community members, donors, and supporters contribute monthly or one-time donations into a pooled fund. These funds are then used to assist individuals with essential needs such as:
Housing and temporary shelter
Utility bills
Emergency expenses
Basic living necessities
All payments are made directly to service providers (landlords, hotels, utility companies, etc.). No funds are distributed directly to individuals, ensuring accountability and proper use of resources.
Our Process
We are committed to fairness, dignity, and transparency in every step:
Confidential Applications: Personal identifying information is removed and replaced with a number before review.
Needs Assessment: Each applicant’s situation is carefully evaluated to determine the most appropriate support and resources.
Committee-Based Selection:
A designated committee (community volunteers) reviews each request using a structured rubric.
Denial Does Not Mean Disqualified
At times, applications may be denied due to limited funding or because another application was selected during that review cycle. This process is designed to be fair, confidential, and based on current availability of resources.
Program Guidelines
Assistance is limited to once every 12 months per applicant
Funds may be used for past-due or urgent financial needs
Recipients may be required to participate in financial literacy or empowerment planning
Accountability and follow-through are expected to maintain program integrity
